To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy The Forest City “Gridania” is a rural city-state that occupies a dense forest area. The guardian deity is Nophica, the goddess of fertility, and the national policy is determined by the oracles of spirits given by three young prophets. Countless canals flow through the city, and the deep forest nurtured by the abundance of water is expressed with the woody aroma of the barrels, reminiscent of forest bathing. The various plants that grow everywhere are expressed with the smoky flavor of Nagahama Distillery’s unblended sake and Islay quarter barrel unblended sake. This is a whiskey with a leafy taste that makes you feel like you’ve wandered into the forest.
